Prof. Babar Farhan
Mr. Babar Farhan graduated from Government College, Lahore and went on to obtain legal qualifications from the Pakistan College of Law. He is an IVLP US State Department Alumni. He has attended the Teacher Training under Rule of Law & Governance Program of Arizona State University, USA. His academic potential earned him a teaching post at PCL, where he is presently an Associate Professor and Vice Principal. His teaching areas are Constitution of Pakistan, Law of Torts and Service Laws.
He has a research based approach and has assisted Prof. Tasneem Kausar in the areas of Criminal and Islamic Law. His technical grasp of the subjects he teaches has received approval and appreciation from the College and his students. He has an exceptional ability of relating to the needs of the student body and teaching difficult subjects in a comprehensive manner on the Punjab University as well as the University of London International Programmes. Mr. Babar delivers lectures on Constitutional Law of Pakistan at the Management and Professional Department, Government of the Punjab. Previously, he also delivered lectures on Constitution of Pakistan to the officers at Pakistan Railway Services Academy, Walton.
Mr. Babar also headed a delegation of PCL students to University of Delhi, India where the delegation met, inter alia, the President of India, Judges of the Indian Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court. He also participated in an International Conference titled “South Asia 2020” in Dubai organized by the New America Foundation.
Mr. Babar has served as a Member of the Executive Council of the Pak-US Alumni Network Lahore Chapter. Additionally, he has been a member of the Inter-University Course Curriculum Development Committee at the University of the Punjab. He was also selected to serve as an Executive Member of the Advocacy Skills Training Programme at the British Council, Lahore. Mr. Babar has also worked as the Deputy Director (Human Rights) of the Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Department, Government of Punjab. With his extensive expertise, dedication to education, and commitment to human rights advocacy, Mr. Babar continues to make significant contributions to the legal and academic landscape of Pakistan. Presently, he is working as the Vice Principal and Director Student Affairs of Pakistan College of Law.
